Village Life

Tatry is located in northwest Cambodia near Pre Rup (pronounced pray roop) temple (wat) which is a part of the ancient complex of temples called Angkor Wat, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Tatry is a village of rice farmers who depend on the weather for food. There are no machines, no electricity, no source of clean water. The labor intensive lifestyle consumes almost all waking hours.

The number one problem with poverty is health. Sanitary conditions determine the health of the people. By supplying each family with an outhouse and water filter their health improves drastically, quickly & easily.
