thinkplaydesign was founded by Jonathan Woolson in 2004 to provide graphic design and consulting services to local and national clients.
In addition to Jonathan, thinkplaydesign employs other skilled designers, copywriters, and editors on an as-needed basis to complete larger projects.

Jonathan offers extensive experience in print design, pre-press, and web design. He holds a BFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University (1991).

Jonathan worked as a graphic production artist for Quark, Inc. (1994-1997), and as a graphic designer for Macworld magazine (1998-2000). As a senior multimedia designer for StorageTek (2000-2004), he created multimedia, web, and print designs and was the recipient of the 2003 Colorado Business Marketing Association Silver award for multimedia.

Jonathan has written articles on graphic design tools for Macworld magazine and Design Tools Monthly. He contributed chapters on web publishing to QuarkXPress 6 for Dummies (G. Gruman/B. Assadi, 2003) and served as a technical editor for several books about publishing software, including Galen Gruman's most recently published books, Adobe InDesign CS2 Bible and QuarkXPress to InDesign: Face to Face.

In July 2004, Jonathan founded thinkplaydesign. He lives in Fredonia, NY, with his wife, Laura, an acupuncturist and owner of Five Blessings Classical Acupuncture, and their daughters, Francesca and Allegra.
